3D Heritage - 3D asset manager and storage capabilities

New functionalities developed within 5DCulture

The functionalities developed within 5DCulture project improve the existing functionalities based on the findings carried out during a user requirements investigation.

New or improved services:

Improved metadata preparation user experience (new fields; the user can select needed fields);
Non-restricted embed function.
More and permanently visible technical data about 3D model
Option for description of 3D digitisation process and “behind the scenes” photos and text explanation
Improved UI for lightning of the model
Annotations (options of photos in annotations, additional measurement units, optimised ‘save’ and ‘delete’ annotation function)

The repository is operated and run in Arctur’s data centre with:

Redundant local network and internet connectivity
Redundant and modular UPS system backed up with diesel generator
Redundant and efficient cooling system with free-cooling capabilities
Photovoltaic system for energy provision
Intrusion detection system, access control and video surveillance
24/7 security system connected to dispatch center
24/7 monitoring and management of IT and supporting systems

Supported formats:

Ensure your 3D model is in a compatible format: We support a variety of popular 3D file formats, in a ZIP file:
- Supported formats for 3D: .abc, .blend, .dae, .fbx, .obj, .stl, .glb, .gltf
- Supported formats for point cloud: .ply
- Supported formats for textures: .jpg, .png
Optimize your 3D model: For a smooth viewing experience, it's recommended to optimize your 3D model for web delivery. This might involve reducing the polygon count while maintaining visual quality.
