"Encuentros UJA" and 5Dculture
Among the planned activities for the students was a visit to the University Institute of Research in Iberian Archaeology, recognized as a center of excellence in teaching and research. During this visit, students and teachers received information about the Archeology degree program as well as the laboratories, library, and other facilities available for teaching and research in Archeology at the Institute.
As part of the 5Dculture project, a workshop was designed for students focusing on the use of 3D models of objects from the Iberian culture. The workshop covered various topics including the utility of 3D models, scanning techniques (such as photogrammetry, structured light scanning, and laser scanning), 3D printing processes, the utilization of different filaments for printing (such as bronze, iron, limestone, PLA, ceramic, and wood), demonstrations of 3D printed objects, and an opportunity to test a virtual prototype at the Sanctuary Cueva de la Lobera.
More details about the programme are available here (in Spanish).
